The Zambezi River Authority, \u201cthe Authority\u201d, has received loans and grants from the\u00a0African Development Bank (AfDB), the Swedish Government and the World Bank\u2019s\u00a0International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the implementation of\u00a0the Kariba Dam Rehabilitation Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of\u00a0these loans and grants to payments under the contract for Spillway Refurbishment\u00a0Phase 2 which comprise: replacement of the six spillway gate hoists with their\u00a0associated controls, electrical equipment; to replace the standby diesel generator,\u00a0completion of the maintenance works on the six (6) spillway gates, repairing concrete\u00a0and associated miscellaneous civil work. This contract will be jointly financed by the\u00a0AfDB, Swedish Government and the World Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
