Ahead of opening in January 2027, Southgate Preparatory School is proud to introduce the senior leaders who will guide the school from its very first day.
Leading the team is the Head, Southgate’s Founding Head, who brings 17 years of experience in the education sector. They are joined by a founding leadership team spanning academics, pastoral care, and school administration, each chosen not only for their professional expertise, but for their alignment with Southgate’s founding conviction: that character and academic excellence should never be treated as separate goals.
Meet the founding team:
- Founding Head — Over 15 years in education across [region/context], with a track record of building academic programmes that hold high standards without losing sight of the individual child.
- Deputy Head — A curriculum specialist with a background in teaching, focused on ensuring Southgate’s academic pathway is rigorous from Early Years through Senior Prep.
- Head of Pastoral — Trained in child development and pastoral leadership, with a particular focus on helping students navigate the transition into boarding and school life with confidence.
- Bursar / Head of Operations — Brings 12 years of experience in school administration and finance, overseeing the practical foundations, from fees and facilities to day-to-day operations, that let the rest of the school run smoothly.
“We didn’t just look for people who were good at their jobs. We looked for people who believed a school could hold high academic standards and genuine warmth at the same time. That’s harder to find than you’d think, and every person on this team has it.”

Together, this team will oversee everything from curriculum design to campus readiness in the months leading up to Southgate’s opening, and will personally welcome the school’s first-ever students through its gates in January 2027.
