Zambia: SC 303 is an ultra-early-maturing white maize variety that reaches maturity in approximately 90-110 days. It produces white, semi-flint grain and has a yield potential of 5-6 tonnes per hectare, equivalent to approximately 100-130 × 50 kg bags. SC 303 has tolerance to Grey Leaf Spot, Northern Corn Leaf Spot, Maize Streak Virus and maize stalk rots. It has moderate tolerance to Diplodia ear rots, very good drought tolerance and very good standability. Its recommended use is primarily summer grain production.
