Zambia: SC 733 is a late-maturing white maize variety with a maturity period of approximately 145-150 days. It produces white, hard-dent grain and has a high yield potential of 12-14 tonnes per hectare, equivalent to approximately 240-280 × 50 kg bags. It has tolerance to Grey Leaf Spot, Northern Corn Leaf Spot and Maize Streak Virus and stands out for its very good tolerance to Diplodia and Fusarium. Its drought tolerance is rated moderate, while its standability is very good. SC 733 is suitable for summer grain, cattle stover and silage.
